Set on 38 acres of farm land on the Willamette River, the traditional farm house and five outbuildings take advantage of the land and its surroundings. The use of common materials and building forms keep the scale of the project feeling like a family farm. While the main residence used traditional details, the outbuildings used traditional, heavy timber, and simple barn construction. Although the construction methods were different among the buildings, the attention to detail and level of craftsmanship remained the same throughout the project.
The schedule on this project was extremely important to the client. A team of project managers was on site coordinating the simultaneous construction of the main residence, the outbuildings and all the landscape work.
